  28. that it has begun shipping Questor 3.0, the latest release of its
  29. award-winning spreadsheet application for NEXTSTEP. The new
  30. version offers Microsoft Excel 4.0 file compatibility. (Complete

  33. Xanthus also announced special introductory pricing on Questor 3.0
  34. of $249 (Retail $595) for a single-user license, available through
  35. August 31, 1994. Questor 3.0 is delivered as  fat (MAB) binaries
  36. for Motorola and Intel processors. Registered owners of Questor
  37. 2.0 will automatically receive a free upgrade to the new version.

  39. Xanthus is also offering special promotional pricing on Graphity,
  40. its business graphing and charting application which can be used
  41. together with Questor or as a stand-alone application. When
  42. purchased with Questor at the promotional price, Graphity can be
  43. purchased for an additional $50 (Retail $395).

  109. Questor 3.0 is the most user-friendly and powerful spreadsheet
  110. application for NEXTSTEP. It combines the intuitive metaphor of a
  111. "matrix-based" spreadsheet application with a number of unique
  112. features and a true NEXTSTEP user interface. Together with
  113. OpenWrite, the "Microsoft Word-like" word processor announced by
  114. Xanthus at NEXTSTEP EXPO 94, Questor is one of the cornerstones in
  115. it's Open Office product suite.

  117. The backbone of Questor 3.0 is a conventional matrix-based
  118. spreadsheet that can easily be used by anybody familiar with
  119. traditional spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus
  120. 1-2-3 or Wingz.

  122. To this backbone is added a number of unique features, including
  123. easy-to-use SQL database access, a powerful scripting language,
  124. multi-level undo and a versatile API.
